On December 8, the First Council Meeting of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Engineering Laboratory for Clean Coal Combustion & Gasification (hereinafter referred to as the Engineering Laboratory) was successfully held at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, CAS. CAS Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ZHGAS), as a council member, attended the meeting.
The Engineering Laboratory is a technological innovation and commercialization platform established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to accelerate the R&D of clean coal combustion and gasification technologies and enhance the transfer and commercialization capabilities of related research achievements.Under the guidance and support of CAS and relevant national authorities, the laboratory will coordinate CAS institutions and local enterprises to advance key technology research and engineering development in clean coal utilization, providing robust technical support for related industries and driving industrial technology upgrades.
As the industrialization base of the Engineering Laboratory, ZHGAS serves as a critical bridge for translating laboratory achievements into real-world applications. ZHGAS will consistently support the laboratory’s industrialization efforts by leveraging its engineering expertise, demonstration project experience, and market-aligned R&D capabilities. By integrating the laboratory’s technological innovations with industrial demands, ZHGAS aims to develop cutting-edge demonstration projects and contribute to a seamless "basic research → technology development → pilot testing → engineering demonstration → commercialization" chain.
