On November 11, CAS Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as ZHGAS) obtained the Pressure Pipeline Design License (GC1) issued by the Anhui Provincial Market Supervision Administration, marking the company’s official qualification to conduct detailed engineering design for pressure pipelines and bolstering its capabilities for business expansion.
Pressure pipelines, classified as specialized equipment critical to public safety, are characterized by high length-to-diameter ratios, structural instability risks, and complex stress dynamics. They often transport toxic, flammable, or explosive substances, demanding stringent design standards. Despite these challenges, they are widely used in the chemical industry. The certification process requires rigorous evaluation of designer qualifications, specialized software proficiency, and regulatory compliance. To meet growing project demands, ZHGAS proactively trained design personnel and initiated the certification application in early 2020.Through thorough market research and comprehensive analysis of the company’s overall operations, meticulous planning was executed to formulate a master implementation plan, providing a solid foundation for subsequent project execution.
Throughout the year, ZHGAS:
l Organized professional training with external experts to build technical expertise.
l Developed quality assurance documents, including the Pressure Pipeline Design Quality Manual, Design Procedure Guidelines, and Technical Specifications (covering piping and material technical requirement), in compliance with the Special Equipment Safety Supervision Regulations and Licensing Rules for Special Equipment Production and Filling Units.
l Completed trial designs for GC1 and GC2 pipelines, validating design protocols.
By late September, ZHGAS had successfully completed all preparatory tasks, including personnel training and assessment, quality assurance system optimization, and pressure pipeline trial design. The company’s resource infrastructure, technical capabilities, and supporting systems fully met the design requirements for pressure pipelines, laying a solid foundation for the certification application. From September 26 to 27, a three-expert panel from the Shandong Special Equipment Inspection Institute conducted an on-site review, assessing hardware/software resources, design documentation, and quality systems. All 20+ design personnel passed written exams and oral defenses on the first attempt. The panel unanimously endorsed ZHGAS’s compliance with GC1 certification criteria.
At this critical juncture of business expansion, obtaining the pressure pipeline design certification will further enhance ZHGAS’s design capabilities, actively driving the extension of its services and entry into new sectors. ZHGAS will strictly adhere to national laws, regulations, and standards for pressure pipeline design, implement the management protocols and procedural documents of its quality assurance (QA) system, ensure the effective operation of the (QA) system, and guarantee the quality of pipeline designs.
